Stolen

The Stolen Horse Register

The Stolen Horse Register is a central repository of all horse, ponies and donkeys that have gone missing and presumed stolen in the United Kingdom. It is principally a communication vehicle allowing details of stolen equines to be disseminated to a wide circle very quickly.

The aim is that in time all persons involved in transactions with horses, e.g. persons buying an unknown horse, horse market operators, abbatoirs, Equine welfare (BHS, RSPCA, ILPH and others). etc. will check on the Stolen Horse Register before the transactions are complete. Persons observing suspicious goings on, where (say) a new horse turns up out of the blue somewhere, could check on the Stolen Horse Register.

See tab on the left to visit the stolen horse register.

MISSING/ STOLEN

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS TINY FILLY FOAL?

She was last seen on Tuesday 24th October 2006 in her field with her mother and other mares and foals( Lincs/Leics borders). She had NOT been weaned or halter broken and would have been very timid and very scared. She was the youngest of the group (born in July 2006) and her mother had always kept 'Snip' away from the group.

She is mainly black with very distinctive white markings. The photos were taken at the begining of October and her height was about 24" the last time we measured her. Both her parents are about 30" and so she definately only grow to about this height. Snip had also a tiny head without her winter coat.

PLEASE HELP - if you have any information or sightings at all please ring me.

This may not be a theft in our area, however the stolen items could turn up anywhere for resale and also, this is something that could happen to you! So think about security!

A yard in Chessington, Surrey was broken into and over £50,000 worth of tack and tree surgery equipment was
stolen. Everyone involved would be extremely grateful if you could display this notice and report anything suspicious to
the police.

Stolen on Tuesday 9th January after 10pm from Chessington, Surrey

16.5" light brown Bates caprilli close contact jump saddle
currently fitted with a blue medium wide gullet, it has a
bates cair keyring and was stolen with a black roma
saddlecloth, brown stubben leathers with stirrups and a
synthetic girth still attached. This saddle is only 2 months
old and is in immaculate condition.

17" brown Ideal jessica dressage saddle fitted with flair.
This saddle has the letter m stamped on the stirrup bar and
it had a suede seat and knee rolls. This saddle was stolen
with the red albion cover still on it but the saddcloth was
removed and left. I bought this saddle 2 days ago and have
ridden in it once so I am distraught about its theft.

16.5" black medium wide Albion gp. This saddle is very
unique because it has point straps both sides but a balance
strap on the right hand side only. At the time of theft it
had a "Sparrow" tag on the D-ring. It was stolen along with
a black jeffries gel-filled girth.

16" black wide Ideal vsd. The stirrups on it are unusual
because they have a different shaped buckle to reduce bulk
under the rider's leg.

16" black Ideal gp. This saddle is very distinctive because
the Ideal studs have been replaced with Martin Wilkinson
ones.
